Quality Control

Quality assurance programs establish principles by which all production systems are governed.

Organic Certification

The CCK factory for production of noni fruit juice from fresh noni fruit, which is located at Saleufi, Apia, and the CCK factory for production of powder from dried noni fruit, which is located at Vaigaga, have both been certified as complying with the NASAA Organic Standard.

NASAA Registration No. is 8056 and the certified operator is "Women in Business Foundation", an umbrella organization for Samoan farmers and processors.  There are 1416.7 ha of farmland in Samoa certified organic.

Refer:  National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia Limited Website - NASAA or Email NASAA

Three small CCK farm properties planted with noni trees are registered with NASAA and are in the process of conversion to organic.

Pricing / Marketing

Buyers will find all CCK prices realistic and very competitive.  All products are of exceptionally high quality as a result of the strict controls applied throughout processing.  Prices are quoted in Samoan currency (SAT).  Take advantage of buying direct from the manufacturer and gain the competitive edge this will give you.  CCK has been exporting both noni juice and powder and dried sliced noni fruit since January 2000.

Analytical Testing

Our noni juice and powder products are regularly tested at AgriQuality Laboratories Auckland, New Zealand.  Both chemical and microbiological tests are carried out on each production batch.  Test results are available to customers.  Special tests can be arranged.  Product specification and compositional profiles follow.

Packaging

Standard packaging for juice is in bulk and can come in one or more of the following forms:

For powder, bulk packing is in 25kg packs with an inner of heavy duty plastic (sealed) and outer of double polypropylene sacks.  Packaging and labelling can be varied to suit customer requirements.

PINA

CCK Trading Limited is a Member of the Pacific Islands Noni Association (PINA).  View the PINA website here.

E.U. Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processing (ANCFP)

On December 16, 2004, CCK Trading Limited received an approval notice from the ANCFP which allows for the marketing of the company's noni juice in the European Union.

H.A.C.C.P

It is a requirement of the PINA program and the E.U. ACNFP that processors of noni juice implement a HACCP program.  CCK Trading Limited has a HACCP program in place in its processing factory.  A graduate food technologist, who monitors all critical control points, including the entire sanitization program and personal hygiene of factory staff, directly controls this program.

Juice quality is assured by application of the HACCP program, by controlling the maturation period, by visual inspection throughout the process and by regular ethanol microbiological and chemical testing each batch.

Pasteurization

Juice is pasteurized in accordance with E.U. standards, 87.5°C for 3 seconds.  Other standards can be applied to meet customer requirements.
